Guide to Christmas Carol Services in Hertford and Ware
I saw a post on my local mums Facebook page asking about where there were going to be Christmas carol services in Hertford and Ware over the Christmas period. It occurred to me there may be people not in the group who are equally interested, so here you go... My ultimate guide of Christmas services.
I love the idea of this... a singing group where you can sing and entertain your children and babies at the same time. I wish I'd heard about this group earlier, as I saw on their Facebook page that they will not be continuing groups after this last service.
Bring your baby or child along to enjoy interactive, fun, and family friendly carols. Songs, stories and bubbles, this event is perfect entertainment for your your child whilst giving you the excuse to sing your heart out to your favourite carols!

Thursday 12th, 7:30pm - Lights of Love Service
This one is particularly special for me, I will be going to a special lights of love service in conjunction with East Herts Sands for parents and family members of babies who died before, during or after birth. A service of gathering, remembering, reflecting and looking forward. I will even be singing 2 songs myself.
We know that the family focus of Christmas and New Year can be hard for bereaved families and our service will be a space to come together and hold dear ones close. Light refreshments provided after the service. We hope you can join us to remember our babies.

You will be treated to a festive set from the wonderful a-capella Courtyard Quartet. Participation is warmly encouraged!
Alongside the music, enjoy the opportunity to browse unique jewellery, artwork, seasonal gifts and cards from local makers… not to mention the delicious homemade mince pies and mulled wine.

If you're going, you might want to head over a bit earlier as Cedars are having a Christmas fun day with all of their usual daily talks as well as games and competitions!
At around 2pm the usual mystery animal - meet and greet - will instead be with a mystery guest from the North Pole!
You and your children will be able to join in a fun session where we shall ask FC various questions about what he has to do in preparation for Christmas. You will be able to check if the children are on his naughty or nice list too!!
There will be opportunities for you to get a photo with Father Christmas but we will not be offering an individual grotto experience this year.
In addition, we will have our Teddy Tombola and Hook a Snowman stalls where you can win a prize EVERY time! (£1 per play).
The usual daily entrance fee of £2 an adult and £1 a child (2 years +) applies.
If you are having, or know of a Christmas carol service around Hertfordshire that I've missed, please add it in the comments and I'll update the post.
