Wow... Where has the year gone? Photographing, training... what about you?

I know for me it certainly seems to have disappeared. Not that it’s been an easy-going fun-loving kind of year. So, while they say time flies while you’re having fun, I guess that also applies to “time flies when you’re running around like a headless chicken”?

Newborn

My Hertford studio newborn photoshoots are aimed at babies from 4-14 days. Of-course I will accept older babies if you didn’t book in time (I recommend booking after your 12 week scan to secure a slot) but they tend to not be quite so sleepy, and accommodating.

As I follow your baby’s lead during a relaxed photoshoot, they can take up to 3 hours. I have a lot more information on the shoot itself and how to prepare in my blog “What happens at a newborn photography session?”

If you’re looking for a lifestyle session in your own home, the newborn age isn’t such a priority, as I will focus more on all the little details and family cuddles, plus capturing their nursery and your beautiful home. Lifestyle photoshoots are great for families who want to document “a day in the life” with siblings joining in the fun. I find these sessions are particularly popular with couples who have recently moved or renovated and want to capture the details of their new home. These are also the most popular photobooks I sell, as they can just be left out for friends and family to browse through.

Family

These are fun and relaxed sessions in my Hertford studio for all the family (although larger families may need to be accommodated in smaller groups, with one whole family photo composited together).

Family sessions are wonderful for updating your walls, capturing your children as they grow, and making sure you have a photo of all generations together. For the latter I often get called when people are getting together for a special occasion. I will do my best to fit you in your date.

It’s lovely photographing the individual family groups and whole family photo, as it gives so many options to fulfil the wishes of all family members.

I have recently launched my mini-dance shoots to great acclaim. These are 30 minute outdoor dance shoots in a beautiful location. In 30 minutes you have the opportunity to show of some of your most impressive leaps, a quick costume change, and headshots if required.
