Natural Light Dance Photography

Dancers? I think "stage" or "studio"... but what about Photography in the forest?
When I met ballet dancers Hollie & Blanche in the cold autumn forest, I'm sure they must have thought "What is this photographer thinking?"
They didn't hesitate though, and despite the slight chill, stripped off into their matching dance outfits and were willing to follow my creative instincts into the middle of a heather field, a leafy path (pausing for the occasional child, family or dog), and most impressively by the end of the hour were performing forearm stands, jumps and leaps inches away from the edge of a jetty by the lake, just so I could get the perfect shot..

Photographing these two dancers took me back to my days at performing arts college, and I must admit, I was tempted to put the camera down and join in... but thankfully for them (and any onlookers) on this occasion I stuck to the photography.
So what did I learn from my shoot in the forest? Well for one, despite loving my little Hertford based studio, my heart really does love an outdoor natural light photography shoot, and if you're willing to go out in all weather, the diversity of light and locations offers the most amazing backdrops for your dance portfolio or family photographs.
As I'd love to do more dance photoshoots while the weather will allow, I'm currently running a very special limited offer... or if you'd rather wait until the weather warms up again, this would make an amazing Christmas gift for your little dancer (you could even go in with a few other mums and I'll do a small group of up to 3 best friends)
Starting at just £199 for a 30 minute shoot including 5 high resolution edited photos... with an option to upgrade to extra digital images, prints or wall art.

I couldn't let Black Friday 2020 go by without some amazing deals for my wonderful and valued customers... I've missed you all so much this year, but have loved the few shoots I was able to squeeze in between lockdowns and Home Education. With all the optimism I can muster for next year (I am naturally a pretty positive person) I am offering some spectacular deals on vouchers for my Hertford Studio and outdoor or on-location sessions next year (packages may be given as gifts, but please confirm preferred locations around Hertfordshire and some parts of London, Cambridgeshire and Essex with me before booking).
