Daddy's little Angel

For the "15 Faces of Baby Loss" project, with Bishops Stortford and Hertford Rainbows and Sunshines groups, I am sharing the stories of 15 mums from around Hertfordshire and Essex for Pregnancy, Baby and Infant Loss Awareness Month.

Today I would like to introduce Stacy Hayzelden

Stacy's daughter was stillborn 4 years ago... Here is her own story.

My name is Stacy Hayzelden and I am the face of baby loss.

On the 27th September 2015 our daughter Sienna was stillborn - but "still born”

I was 32 weeks pregnant, this was my second pregnancy, our first daughter Ella age 6 a healthy girl "our rock"

I had a routine check up on the 24th September and it was here our hearts were broken... we were told that our little girl didnt have a heartbeat. I didnt believe it and wouldnt believe it, I asked for another scan but it was confirmed. We were distraught, how could this happen to us.
After a traumatic 3 days in labour due to complications, I was taken to theatre and delivered Sienna.

She was tiny, and beautiful and looked so peaceful. We had several hours with her to say our goodbyes, never did we imagine walking out of a maternity unit without our baby.

We were all heartbroken and devasted - why us ... how were we going to explain this to our young daughter that her baby sister would not be coming home?

The 21st October 2015 was Siennas funeral. Never do you think that you would bury your own child.
In memory of our daughter, my husband has a tattoo of her hand and feet " Daddy's little Angel" and I had a ring made with Sienna ashes which I wear everyday, both shown in the photograph above - she is always with me.

4 years on and it never gets any easier, and you never forget.

Being part of the East Herts Sands group allows you to talk to people and share your stories and gain comfort that you are not alone.

We need to break the silence over baby loss.

Gift Voucher for Photography Sessions
by Joanne Lewis 26 November 2020
I couldn't let Black Friday 2020 go by without some amazing deals for my wonderful and valued customers... I've missed you all so much this year, but have loved the few shoots I was able to squeeze in between lockdowns and Home Education. With all the optimism I can muster for next year (I am naturally a pretty positive person) I am offering some spectacular deals on vouchers for my Hertford Studio and outdoor or on-location sessions next year (packages may be given as gifts, but please confirm preferred locations around Hertfordshire and some parts of London, Cambridgeshire and Essex with me before booking).
